Dr. Kenneth Hune has been a paediatric specialist in Oakville since 1973. He has taught at the Faculty of Dentistry in the graduate and undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto, as well as being a clinical dentist at the Hospital for Sick Children and Hugh MacMillan Centre in Toronto. Associate general dentists and paediatric dentists have been in the practice since then.

For fifteen years, Dr.Hune was the primary dentist involved with the care of the residents of the Oaklands Regional Centre in Oakville, and he has continued to serve our community through the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. He has belonged to and participates in all Canadian and American paediatric organizations and locally he is a Past President of the Halton Peel Dental Association. Preventive and group practice dental organizations as well as the International Association for Orthodontics have also occupied his energies. Dr. Hune is married and has four children.

Dr. Patricia Simpson graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto after having completed her B.Sc. at the University of Western Ontario. She enjoys all of the many facets of general dentistry, from "turning the tide" in gum disease, seeing a new confidence after a smile "makeover" with porcelain veneers. She is active in pursuing continuing education to enhance the care she delivers.

Dr. Simpson enjoys travelling and downhill skiing with her husband and two boys. (The boys can already ski circles around her.) She dabbles in water colour painting and drawing, and her interests include theatre, music, reading and helping with leadership in her church.

Dr. Kaye believes hist patient's teeth are important to the them and endeavours to provide high quality dental care for the entire family. He enjoys all areas of dentistry and had developed a great depth of experience from his tenure in Kapuskasing. He is commited to help his patients achieve an excellent level of oral health.

Team members have been with us for an average of ten years.

Our front desk appointment co-ordinators and receptionists will always attempt to schedule visits at the most opportune time for our team to best serve you and your family and with the particular treatment co-ordinator with whom your child would be comfortable. The practice is fully computerized, placing people information ahead of procedure treatments. These ladies are proud to keep everyone on time because we respect your family time commitments.

The certified dental assistants, preventive dental assistant and registered dental hygienists all work with each other and Dr. Hune. Dr. Hune always sees your child during treatment visits but most delegatable dental procedures are completed by the team together. Your questions and concerns will always be responded to by the team.

Our dental hygienists will help develop a personal hygiene plan appropriate to your child's needs, whether it be a 3-6-9 month or even annual reassessment visit to ensure a healthy mouth. The importance of regular preventive care should be based on personal need, dental eruption schedules and cavity susceptibility rather than dictated by insurance carriers.

Diet, physical health, personal hygiene habits, tooth brushing dexterity and oral medications can contribute to poor oral hygiene. We encourage you to ask questions about treatment that is recommended in order that informed choices are made.
